Hi, I’m Meredith—a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator (LCCE), International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and licensed Parent Educator (birth to age five). I recently joined the team at Amma and am thrilled to be in the company of such passionate, smart, and talented teachers. I teach prenatal classes designed to support and empower families as they prepare for labor, birth, and the early days of parenting. I also co-teach four Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) classes in the St. Louis Park School District, working alongside a licensed Early Childhood teacher and our awesome paras. My private practice, MSP Lactation, is located right up the street from my school in the Lenox neighborhood of SLP. Before making the jump full-time into parent education and lactation, I co-founded MSP Doulas and worked as a certified birth and postpartum doula, supporting nearly 100 families with my partner, Jillian. I attended 75 labors in a hybrid capacity and was present in person for 37 births. I then spent more than 3,000 hours supporting new families as an overnight doula and lactation counselor. My past professional experience also includes time spent working in inpatient neuro rehabilitation as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L), which continues to inform my holistic, body-aware approach to perinatal support. I live in St. Paul with my spouse, our child, and two senior rescue dogs. I hold a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C) and bring a trauma-informed, inclusive lens to all that I do, as physical disability and neurodiversity impact my family and affect our daily lives. I’m a true introvert: intensely dedicated to my Pilates regimen, a lover of podcasts, cozy blankets, succulents, B&J non-dairy ice cream, and authentic 1:1 conversation.
